We at Harmony4Kidz are committed to improving the lives of needy and often homeless children throughout the world.
Through the creation and promotion of special musical events and gatherings, we at Harmony4Kidz strive to become an advocate for our children through fund raising, education and community involvement.
We feel that we have been given a gift, in our ability to create and bring to the public musical events and concerts focused on the theme of giving, peace and sharing. We have found that music is an ageless, common language that can bring people together while carrying a message of hope. We are committed to assuring that every child we work with will become a productive and successful member of society.
Through the creation of "Harmony4Kidz Fund" we are developing programs and are about to open our first 2 centers to shelter and care for homeless teens -The Union Square Center and The Bridgeprot Center.
The Union Square center is very special to us. Our focus on the homeless teens of Union Square was the beginning of the realization that we could each make a difference.
We are also aggressively seeking to partner with other charitable organizations, businesses, and those within the music industry, to develop and assist them in creating fund-raising events for the betterment of children. Here are some links to the organization we have reached out to: www.youthnoise.com, HYPE -helping young people excell, (more will be added soon) also see this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2P0JFeZ3qw
At Harmony4Kidz we are firm believers that there is no better way to unite people around a cause then through music. We've seen it time and time again… old and young, rich and poor, all joining together at our concerts. At Harmony4Kidz we found that our concerts and other musical events often promote themselves as local radio stations and others are more than willing to get the word out. Our goal is to bring together multiple charitable organizations within a community, all joining together with Harmony4Kidz to plan and promote fund raising concerts at mid-size to large venues, and to generate a large turn out and recognition of the importance of helping the needy and homeless children.
Through our relationships with local, national and international performers, we have been to attract these head liners to our sponsored events. Many of our friends within the music industry have been more than willing to pitch in and show their support. Many corporations have also found that our events are the perfect way to support a "worthy cause" , while stimulating employee participation.
More Than One Million Homeless Children
“Although counting the exact number of homeless children is difficult, a consensus is emerging among researchers.
According to the National Coalition for the Homeless, 1.2 million children are homeless on any given night.
Supporting this figure are estimates from the U.S. Department of Education that report almost 400,000 homeless children were served by the nation's public schools last year. Since more than half of all homeless children are under the age of 6 and not yet in school, a minimum of 800,000 children can be presumed to be homeless.
On the basis of these data, the National Center on Family Homelessness concludes that more than one million American children are homeless today.”
